Coming off of a cruise ship-
- You will come off your ship and head for Festival Place. Once through the building and out the front doors you will veer directly left. You will see a kiosk where ladies are braiding hair. Directly across the street is a round fountain. Our driver will be looking for you there. You are looking for a white or silver van with our 'Bahamas Segway and Beach Experience' logo on it.
- Make sure that you do not get on the wrong Segway tour. You are looking for Bahamas Segway and Beach Experience or Bahamas Segway Tours... not Caribbean Segway Tours, See Nassau the Fun Way on a Segway, or Nassau Segway Beach and Waterfront Tour.
- If you have any questions while in Nassau, please go to the Ministry of Tourism desk and ask to call your shore excursion director at 242.376.9016.
Coming from a hotel-
- Atlantis: There are officially six pick up spots at Atlantis. It is important that you contact us once you know where you are staying at Atlantis. Our contact numbers are 242.376.9016 or 242.467.8764 or e-mail us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . The six pick up spots are as follows: Beach Towers, Coral Towers, Royal Towers, The Cove, The Reef and Harbourside. For each of these you will want to wait at the front entrance and look for a white or silver van with our logo 'Bahamas Segway and Beach Experience' on it. Make sure you are not getting on the wrong Segway Tour, see number two above.
- Wyndham Resort: You will want to wait on the top level and look out for our white or silver van with our logo 'Bahamas Segway and Beach Experience'.
- All Other Hotels: For all other hotels you will want to wait outside in the front entrance. You will want to look for our white or silver van with 'Bahamas Segway and Beach Experience' on it.
How long is the tour?
All tours run approximately 3 hours including transportation to and from our site. We give you a 30 minute Nassau city tour out to our privately owned site, a 6 mile Segway tour through hand cut trails that run along salt water lakes and canals and then swing out to our private beach where you can relax, swim, or wade. Our guides inform you on the local fauna, sea life and animals that live in the area. We then take you back to your pickup location. You are also welcome, when available, to remain at the beach and take a later bus.
Are there any restrictions?
- 275lb weight limit.
- Only one rider per bike.
- Not recommended for guests who have balance problems or who are in the first trimester of their pregnancy.
- Must be at least 9 yrs old and 50" tall to ride.
- Children under 16 must be accompanied on the tour by an adult rider.
What is your cancellation policy?
We will happily refund your deposit when you cancel at least 48 hours in advance. We provide a cancellation code on our email reservation confirmation for your convenience. We also understand that occasionally cruise ships change course in mid-cruise. In that case, we will try to accommodate your party when you are in port. If that can't be worked out, then we will, of course, refund your deposit. Additional circumstances for refunding your deposit: If we cancel AND can't accommodate you on another day, you will be issued a full refund. Bad Weather: If we cancel due to bad weather AND can't accommodate you on another day, you will be issued a full refund.
Why is your tour less expensive than the ones offered on my cruise ship?
Cruise lines tend to increase the actual cost of some activities for a variety of reasons. The most important thing to realize is that the tour you'll find here is a better deal than booking with the cruise lines since you are booking directly with the owners.
Can't I just book these when I get down there?
Spaces are always limited to 13 (thirteen) riders per tour and do book up weeks and even months in advance. In order to insure you won't be left out, we recommend you book your tour ahead of time.
How is the snorkeling at the beach?
The snorkeling on our side of the island is hit and miss. Our tide is pretty extreme - six to eight feet every day. So, you could come out there and have less than a foot of water or eight feet.
When will I receive my reservation confirmation?
Once a reservation has been made online, we will finalize and confirm your reservation and email you the final confirmation within 1 hour. If you don't receive the email, please call us toll-free at: 1-888-411-0553.
Some of the information on my reservation confirmation is incorrect.
Please contact our office through email so we can correct any mistakes made on your reservation. You may reply directly from the reservation confirmation.
Things you will want to know-
- You will need to bring your swim suit or wear it under your clothes - also a good idea to bring towels.
- Keep in mind that your full trip from your location and back could take up to 3 and a half hours.
- You will get a free bottle of water on your tour. If you need more, it is available for purchase.
- Payment of the tour will take place before the tour starts. If not paying cash, we take Visa, Master Card and Discover. Please note: We apologize, but cannot accept American Express at the tour site.
